The precision ground insert is
located in a wedge-shaped pocket
seat which is manufactured highly
accurate by EDM. The runout
accuracy of a milling cutter
assembled with inserts is less than
0.03 mm.
The individual inserts can be
adjusted relative to each and (or)
with regard to a specific length
dimension. This results in an even
wear of all cutting edges thus
achieving an outstanding tool life
as well as an excellent surface
quality.
The µm-accurate adjustment of the
insert by means of an eccentric bolt is
totally new and has many advantages. This bolt is located in the pocket seat
and hooks into a slot of the insert.
All milling cutters within this range of tools operate with an extremely high
number of inserts on the circumference
For that reason a relatively high feed
rate per revolution can be achieved
which results in shorter machining time
per piece and therefore an increased
economic efficiency.
Robust and countersunk clamping
elements guarantee an unhampered
chip evacuation. All tools are of course
designed with internal coolant supply
system.

know-how and experience gathered

customer requirements, such as gang
milling cutters and disc milling cutters.
µm-accurate axial adjustment of inserts by operation of an eccentric element
Adjustment of the insert should preferably be made by performing a
left-hand turning of the eccentric set-screw (counter-clockwise).
Prior to that the insert must be fully clamped already by means of the
clamping screw. If an unintended excessive adjustment occurs, the
insert is automatically returned when continuing operation of the eccentric bolt.
