This is our most popular quality and is specially
recommended for the cutting of steel. These
saw blades are manufactured in the very same
way as SilverRex® blades but are additionally
vapor treated in a special production line.
This procedure results in a blue-black, hard and
wear-resisting oxide film. The high elasticity of
the blade body is fully maintained. Our blades
treated this way are especially tough and wear-
resisting. The blue-black layer of oxide absorbs
the cutting fluid like a sponge and ensures
optimum cooling of the cutting edges.
This protection inhibits formation of pick-up on
the sides and ensures an easy flow of chips as
well as clean cuts and much longer tool life.

These cobalt-alloyed saw blades are
recommended for cutting hard and tough
steels under extreme cutting conditions.
They are regularly supplied with a rake angle
of 0 to 10-12 degrees. In order to supply these
blades with the most suitable tooth geometry,
we need to know the material to be cut.

TIN, TiCN or TiAIN coatings are applied on the
complete blade or only on the cutting edges.
Wear and temperature resistance enables up to
50 percent more cutting speed. If a tool of solid
carbide is not practical, these less expensive
coatings are recommended when cutting tough
or very hard materials.
During the first usage of the blade, high tool
life will be achieved. After the first regrinding
of rake and top angle, recoating is generally
possible but is not always desirable. Using small
diameters one-way TinRex® coated tools are
often an economical solution.

Solid Carbide Blades are used for the heavy
duty sawing of tough materials or for the
increasing of the tool life. These wear-resisting
tools are set on high precision machines that
work without any vibration and a rigid clamping
of the material is assured. Therefore the
requirements for these high precision tools are
tightest tolerances for high cutting speeds and
feeds, better tool life, and sharp cutting edges.
The high precision and mirror finish of these
blades guarantees a super cut surface which
normally does not require any further finish
operations.
The cutting speeds and feeds of CARBODUR®
blades are approximately five times higher than
blades made of HSS - the tool life is ten times
compared to HSS-tools.
If standard tools are no longer capable of
producing chips, CARBODUR® Saw Blades with
hard wear resistant coatings (TIN, TiCN or
TiAIN) are often still able to cut the material.
The combination - Solid Carbide Blades plus a
coating - is the utmost solution to get the best
wear and temperature resistance, and hardness.
