Hydraulic Collet-Chucks For direct clamping of tool shanks
Ideal for direct clamping of tool
shanks acc. to DIN 6535 shape HA
and HB and DIN 1835 shape A and
B with a shank tolerance h6 and
Ramin of 0.3µm. Tool shanks acc.
DIN 6353 shape HE are supposed
to be clamped with the use of
reduction inserts.
Shape HA and A =
smooth shanks dia. 6 to 32mm.
Shape HB and B =
cylinder shanks with lateral driver (Weldon) dia. 6 to 32 mm.
Shape HE =
cylinder shanks with inclined clamping area (Whistle Notch)
dia. 6 to 20 mm.
Recommendation: only in connection with a
reduction insert.
Mechanics:
By actuation of a clamping
screw a clamping piston will
force the hydraulic fluid into
a thin walled expansion
chamber under high pressure.
It expands similar to a
diaphragm and embraces the
tool shank centrical under
high clamping forces.
Effect:
The Hydraulic clamping
system has choking effects.
Microfractures at the cutting
edges of the tools caused by
vibrations of mechanical
clamping systems will be
avoided by the expansion
clamping system.
Features:
- Safe clamping function and securance of the minimal insertion depth due to the adjustment stroke limitation of the adjustment screw.
- Large adjustment stroke of the adjusting screw.
- No invasion of chips, dirt or coolant due to closed clamping circuit.
- Due to special design of the clamping bore insensitive to oily shanks.
- Due to stroke limitation of the clamping screw no risk of overexpansion of the expansion sleeve.
- Ideal central coolant supply via central hole in the adjusting screw.
- The fully enclosed tool shank in the clamping bore allowes no loss of coolant.
- The centrical clamping of smooth cylindrical shanks guarantees the highest concentricity and repeatability of 0.003 mm.
- Safe torque transmission even at high speeds.
