HDF Hydraulic collet chucks

Highly suitable for direct clamping of tool shanks.

By actuation of a clamping screw a clamping piston will
force the hydraulic fluid into a thin walled expansion
chamber under high pressure. Similar to a diaphragm it
expands and encloses the tool shank centrical under
high clamping force.

The hydraulic clamping system has an absorbing effect.
Microfractures at the cutting edges of the tools caused
by vibrations of mechanical clamping systems will be
avoided by the expansion clamping system.

Technical features:
• safe clamping function and securance of the minimal insertion depth due to
the adjusting value limitation of the adjustment screw
• no intrusion of chips, dirt or coolant due to closed clamping circuit
• due to special design of the clamping bore insensitive to oily shanks
• ideal central coolant supply via central hole in the adjusting screw
• the centrical clamping of smooth cylindrical shanks guarantees the highest
concentricity and repeatability of 0.003 mm

• the fully enclosed tool shank in the clamping bore prevents loss of coolant
• safe torque transmission even at high speeds
• further sizes and additional designs are available on request

Radial axial length adjustment advantages :

• Maximum adjustment range 10 mm

• Accurate tool length adjustment
      (0.05 mm per revolution)

• Tools need not be removed from chuck
      for pre-setting

• Adjustment screw and length are not
      offset by greater axial load

• Optimum accessibility, even in enclosed
      conditions

• For DIN 69871 Form AD+B and DIN 69893
      HSK A in all current sizes available at
      short notice
