Type 293
Induction Shrink Technology
For mounting of solid carbide and
HSS-cutters acc.DIN 6535 form HA

Using an induction shrink system
makes it possible for carbide metal
and HSS tools to be shrunk into and
out of the corresponding tool mounts.
To do this, the mounts are inductively
heated with the aid of the shrink
device. The power absorbed in this
process is converted into heat with a
very high degree of efficiency. Once
the preset shrinkage time has expired,
the shrinking device will automatically switch itself off. The thermal
expansion of the tool mounts allows for the tools shaft to be
introduced, and when the mount cools off the tools is connected in a
positive fit in the mount, secure against rotation and displacement.
After use, heating the chuck again allows the tool to be removed.
